As EFT is a holistic mind-body modality that often engages emotional memory and nervous system responses, practitioners frequently encounter trauma-related patterns in their work—sometimes even when trauma is not the explicit focus of the session. This workshop is designed to support EFT practitioners in developing a trauma-informed lens that enhances safety, ethical sensitivity, and practitioner wellbeing, without altering or replacing the EFT framework.
I am an Accredited EFT Advanced Practitioner, deeply curious about trauma, emotions, and the ways our nervous systems hold lived experience. I am offering this workshop as part of my ongoing professional training in Trauma-Informed Care. I am currently completing a Certification Course in Trauma-Informed Care conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, which requires the facilitation of sensitization sessions for professional groups. This workshop forms part of that academic and reflective learning process. A brief feedback form will be shared with the participants. This is part of my academic evaluation and will be submitted to the university.
The proposed session focuses on:
- An understanding of trauma neurobiology
- The autonomic nervous system and its relevance in EFT sessions
- Recognising signs of nervous system overwhelm, shutdown, or dysregulation
- Awareness of vicarious trauma and practitioner self-care
- Core principles of trauma-informed care translated into EFT practice
The workshop is intended as a sensitization and awareness session, rather than clinical training or diagnosis-based learning.
The event is limited to 20 people. It will be recorded and the recording made available to all EFT Guild members on the RECENT EVENT RECORDINGS page. If you do not intend to attend please do not register.
